Information for Suppliers
Who can sell through the auction?
Anybody who is involved in the flower trade may sell at the auction, once they have completed and signed the registration form. Growers, importers, wholesalers, and harvesters are all welcome.
You must be registered for GST with an ABN number.

How do I register?
You need to read our supplier's information kit, which is available by calling Christensen Flower Auction on (07) 3121 2301 between 6 am - 12 noon weekdays (please note that the auction and our office are closed on Tuesdays).
Should you call outside of these times please leave your name, telephone number and postal or email address and we will get a supllier kit sent out to you.
You must also complete, sign and fax back the PAMD Form 24A - Appointment to Act as Auctioneer, included in the supplier's kit, before your registration can be processed. Once your registration has been completed we will advise you of your new Supplier Number.
Christensen Flower Auction reserves the right to accept or reject any registration application.

How is GST handled?
The auction clock displays the price EXCLUDING GST. GST is then calculated on the total invoiced value of GST-applicable products and added to the purchaser’s as a separate item. The amount of GST collected from the purchaser and their payment are deposited into Christensen Flower Auction’s Trust Account. You receive the sale amount and the collected GST in your weekly payment.

How do I get paid?
Payment is calculated on the Friday of each week for products sold that week. Payment is then made into your nominated account on the Thursday following your week’s sales.

Consigning times are:

Other arrangements can be made by contacting Christensen Flower Auction if you can’t make these times. You can obtain a key to the growers after hour drop off coolroom so you can come and go as you please on your own time.
All products received before 4:00am sharp on any auction day will be auctioned at that day’s auction. Products received after 4:00am may be put on auction the following auction day

What costs are involved?
All freight and packaging are at your expense. Any damages and delays incurred while in transit are at your risk.

How do I get sale information?
Information on your supplies, the day’s trading of your products, etc. are available on the web site at www.flowerauction.com.au (contact us for a password). Information on the day’s trading of your products, in particular, can also be obtained by calling us after 12 noon.

What happens to my unsold products?
All consigned products are auctioned a minimum of three times. If your products are not sold after the third auction, one or more of the followings may happens:
- The auctioneer may try to sell them off after the auction for the best price possible
- You may have them returned to you at your own expense
- You may have them destroyed

How should I present my products?
Your products are presented to buyers the way you deliver them to the auction. So correct bunching methods and good presentation of your products will ensure they get the best possible prices.
It could be to your advantage to try and keep your flowers in variety and colour groups. You will find that some varieties and colours will obtain better prices on auction than others. If you are unsure how to bunch your flowers, please contact our staff for assistance.
